Sata-Häme Soi -  Accordion festival in Ikaalinen

- concert with Frank Marocco - 25. June 2009

The festival organizers managed to get the legendary American jazz accordionist Frank Marocco to Sata-Häme Soi Festival this year - his only concert in Finland. He held a fabulous concert at Oma Tupa and nobody can imagine this man is 78 years old. He is still playing in the same way he did in his younger days. He is one of the most recorded accordionists in America (and, possibly, the world), having played on a vast number of movie soundtracks, television scores, commercial jingles and record albums, in the studio of Hollywood and beyond. During his 60 years of carreer his has played with hundreds of musicians like Henry Mancini, Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, Madonna and Pink Floyd. You can reed more about him here.
